Do you live in the Charlotte area? There will be a FREE history program at Charlotte Museum of History on Tuesday, August 30th. Read more, from their email:
As part of their 2011 LCV Cities Tour, national TV and radio station, C-SPAN, will visit various literary and historic sites in Charlotte during the week of August 29, 2011. C-SPAN chose to kick-off their week in the Queen City with a program at the Charlotte Museum of History on Tuesday, August 30 from 6:30-7:30pm. You are invited! The program will feature a lecture Dr. Tom Hanchett. He will discuss Charlotte's unique history and other topics included in his book, Sorting Out the New South City.

This event, brought to you in part by Time Warner Cable, is FREE and open to the public. No need to RSVP. It will be filmed by one of C-SPAN's Local Content Vehicle (LCV) teams and air September 24-25, 2011 on BookTV (C-SPAN 2) and American History TV.

This is something good to do if you homeschool.

(Thanks Charlotte On The Cheap)
