Bargains with Barb: Looking Good For Less

I am starting a new post on Fashion and how to look good for less. If you haven't guessed by now, I love, love, love to shop. I love shoes, jewelry, clothes, pocketbooks, makeup, shoes, jewelry, clothes, pocketbooks, oh wait, I said that already. lol. I got it honest though since my mom also loves to shop.I have become a better shopper over the years. I used to just get something because it was on sale and not think about the quality, if I needed it, if I was going to ever wear it or if I had 20 of the same thing already in my closet, but I try to only get something I know we will use and do not always get the item the first time I see it. I may look through my closet to see if I have something similar like it already, or may wait for the price to go down a little more. I am however a little more indulgent with my kids clothes (I think my daughter has more clothes than me; however, we do get a fair amount of hand me downs) but I still get 90% of their clothes on sale. I like good quality items at a reasonable price. I am a frugal fashionista. I will admit I have my flaws so I learn how to "hide" what I don't like about myself and "show" what I do like in my wardrobe choices. Below, is an outfit I put together for under $25. As a matter a fact, most of my outfits are under $25.


I got this Racerback top for $.01 when Wet Seal was having a Buy one get one for a penny sale a few weeks ago. I got another shirt like this in brown for under $7. The necklace was for $.54 and I got it from The Limited when they were having a sale on jewelry and I used a $15 off $15 coupon on it.
