Recipe: Simple Chocolate Cinnamon Mousse with Raspberry Sauce


Chocolate Cinnamon Mousse with Raspberry Sauce

{Makes 4 servings}
1 1/4 cups chilled heavy whipping cream
1/8 tsp of cinnamon
4 ounces of chocolate chips (semi sweet or milk chocolate – either will work fine)
1/4 cup of raspberry jam or preserves
fresh raspberries
Melt the chocolate over a double boiler or microwave.
Whip the heavy cream and cinnamon with an electric mixer or stand mixer until soft peaks form. Fold in the chocolate very carefully until it is incorporated. {You might still have streaks of white and that is okay. Better to have some streaks of white than flat mousse!}Microwave or heat the jam/preserves in a small sauce pan. When the jam/preserves are thin and warm it is ready. Place mousse in a dessert cup or bowl and top with raspberry “sauce” and fresh berries.
