Discovery Place Facebook Contest

CONTEST: Show us your "Wackiest Weather  (Photo from Discovery Place Facebook page) I want to let you know about an exciting, fun and EASY to enter contest that Discovery Place launched this weekend on their Facebook page!  On March 31 and April 1 Sean Casey, professional storm chaser and star of the IMAX film Tornado Alley (http://www.discoveryplace.org/imax/coming_soon/), will blow into Charlotte for a special visit to Discovery Place. Casey, who appears in the documentary reality television series Storm Chasers on the Discovery Channel, will bring his 14,000-pound TIV, a giant vehicle designed to drive into a tornado to film from inside the storm, to Discovery Place to promote the debut of the Tornado Alley film at The Charlotte Observer IMAX Dome Theatre. Disovery Place is offering their Facebook fans the chance to showoff their "Wackiest Weather Wear" and win a chance to ride in the Tornado Intercept Vehicle (TIV) with Sean Casey! Winners will receive 2 passes to attend a special screening of Tornado Alley on Thursday evening, March 31, hosted by Sean Casey. Just dress up in your "Wackiest Weather Wear", take a photo and upload it to Discovery Place's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/discoveryplace) by March 25 and 3 winners will be chosen from the photos posted to their Facebook page by judges, and will win a ride for 2* in the TIV with Sean on the afternoon of Thursday, March 31. *Participants younger than age 14 must be accompanied by an adult (age 18 or older) to ride in the TIV. All participants must sign a waiver before riding in the TIV.
